16 May How to Avoid Distraction and Actually Be Productive
Do you ever find yourself unable to focus on just one task at a time? Do you ever get distracted and jump from one task to another before completing the first one?
This happens to the best of us, which is why this is a great goal to set or even make into a New Year’s resolution in 2019.
Here are my top tips to avoid distraction with the intention to increase effectiveness, efficiency and save time.
- To avoid skipping from one task to the next, have the deliberate intention to focus on that one thing and nothing else in that moment. Try setting a timer for 15 mins, during which your attention is going to be solely devoted to that one task.
- Put your phone out of reach to avoid distraction.
- Don’t have your email constantly open and close irrelevant internet tabs to avoid distraction.
