How To Ease Into Fall Feeling Energized Instead of Overwhelmed

As we head back to school and back to work after the summer holiday, it’s crucial to do what you need to do in order to feel in control and in charge.

Getting back into the swing of things can be very overwhelming, but there are actions you can take to make this busy season feel manageable and exciting, rather than draining!

Here are my top tips for managing the end-of-summer season and setting yourself up for success come September.

  1. Have a Master Plan

Think about what works for you and what doesn’t. Everything ramps up in the fall and creating systems can help everything run smoothly. Try brainstorming to improve things that slow you down.

       2. Don’t Jam Pack Your Calendar

With back-to-school events, dinner parties and conferences for work – it can be easy to pack the calendar full of events. Going full speed ahead can quickly burn you out and keep you from enjoying everything. Organize your calendar with things that are priorities and take anything unnecessary off of your plate.

       3. You Don’t Need to Say Yes to Everything

Many times we feel guilty not attending something – but don’t. Sometimes we need to recharge and take care of ourselves. Don’t say yes if it’s going to overwhelm you. Ease into the fall and you’ll feel energized instead of overwhelmed.
