We are all works in progress!
Art, painting, drawing and crafting have never been a strong suit of mine – to put it lightly.
So when I had the opportunity to take a painting class – I thought to myself “I know that I wasn’t great at painting years ago, but this could be a good opportunity to improve my skills.” I actually surprised myself – I was better than I thought and really enjoyed myself. So when you know you’re about to try something new or have to do something you’re not great at, here are some of my top tips to stay in a supportive state of mind.
- Don’t compare yourself to others – we are all at different points in our journeys from beginner to middle and mastery.
- It’s so important to step outside your comfort zone sometimes, and learn new things about yourself by taking a risk.
- You might not be the best at something, but it’s important to keep trying because the more you do the more rewarding it will be when you make progress!
Thank you Paint Lab and Piper ladies for a great class and getting me out of my comfort zone.
